OutdoorKing Repair Forum Forums Finding and Swapping Idle Chatter Anyone recognise this?

Hi guys,
Went to a farm clearance auction yesterday and scored my 8x5 deep sided trailer piled a foot above the side with scrap steel of various sorts, box, tube, round section, I beam, hard facing blades, angle, RSJ, plate etc for $3. Unbelievable score, very slow trip home as there wasn't much travel left in the springs. Sorting through it as I unloaded I came across this blade and am wondering if anyone recognises what it might be off. Chaff cutter, mower, power planer? 550mm over all, 490mm blade edge.

Most likely a blade for a timber planer or thicknesser, I'd say. Every chaff cutter knife I've ever seen has been curved.

Someone over at www.woodworkforums.com [an Oz site] may recognise it; some of those folks are into old workshop machinery.
