505 SP
Been looking for one of those for ages. Got a few push ones but no SP.
The tank is meant to sit on a metal shelf that bolts to the back wall of the mower behind the carb in the two holes there. Tank is held in place by two springs in plastic tubes through holes in the tank.
Not sure how well the tank you have there will last given that its held from either end and needs to be held firm. With the handle latches and all that.
You could find an engine cover and tank from a late model Victa, they used the straight inlet manifold so it will mount up on the motor and clear the carb.
Both SP and push 505's use the same catcher.
Its the same large twin grip catcher as the 80's high arch/Vortex/Mustang used but it has a notch in the front edge to go around where the gearbox is.
Keep an eye out, i got a NOS one from the mower shop up the road.
You could modify a regular catcher to work.
