I was just looking at the history of the Marino Mowall Click Here For Link.

It looks like you were not sure if it was a Dowling design but I have a copy of the patent that names Dowling as the inventor (applicant)
so I would say he did design the Marino Mowall.

The Marino factory at Bulimba was opposite on the Brisbane River
to another story I just wrote - but separated by a century!
