When I try to post with the quote button, it comes out with the word quote in brackets instead of showing properly in a box. What's the go?!?
This site as been problematic since the changes. Why couldn't the fee be introduced without altering the site?
My biggest gripe so far is the extra steps of posting a photograph and the new thumbnail format instead of just seeing the pictures in the posts.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

I don't know what you are doing but it works for me. I have used in in quick reply and Full editor and get the same result. Can you provide the area in question.

The reason for the thumbnail is so that people do not have to scroll through the whole post which can be a real pain in the rear end at times. Also people were posting using mobile phone (which is the norm these days) and the images would be upside down which a lot of people did not like. With the new system you can rotate the images as well and easier on the eye to view. cheers2

I merely press the quote button and type away and I get this. I appreciate your explaining the changes BTW.

Hi MF
Many thanks for reporting the problem with the quotes feature.
It seems to have been isolated to one forum.
I think Bruce may have corrected that now.
Just try it next time, and it should work.

The reasons for the technical upgrade is to make the site compliant with
changes in technology. Without this, we would get many complaints.

The new gallery system does take time to get use to - but its advantages outweigh
the disadvantages. Remember, you can also add text to every image to help
tell the story.

The trick is to type the text before uploading the particular image as in:

This is a Ransomes Minor. Note the exhaust location on the cylinder. This indicates this is a Villiers Midget MK1.

Loud and clear. Thank you guys. It's good to hear the changes were implemented with the express purpose of an improved overall experience for members. It's a matter of becoming accustomed to the changes. I hope the quote debacle is fixed once and for all.

Mowerfreak,

The issue should be corrected now. If you have any other problems with the quote feature please let us know in which forum you have the problem and we will try to correct it.
