Hi Marty,

I was in at my mower place yesterday and managed to get a copy of the Anniversary 12-32 off the guys.

This pic shows the chassis parts and no:54 (bottom left & right) shows two of your left over bits, they are called stiffeners.

The guys at the shop tried to explain where they go, but it was difficult to visulise not knowing that model, but it is either under the seat or if you remove the rear cover it attaches to the chassis some where in that area.
Pretty vague I know smile.

They couldn't identify the other parts unfortunately, and I couldn't find any of them in the parts manual.

Re the steering, yes please post a pic of the adjusting screw setup.

Marty, that is a beautiful bonnet you have there, they are usually all crunched up on the front edge

Thank you for the pic out of the Anniversary 12 manual. I had seen that, but for the life of me cannot relate it to my mower. None of the adjacent parts listed in the illustration appear to apply to the Anniversary 8. Still stiffeners huh, must be useful somewhere. laugh
That only leaves three odd bits. I think one is a guard which should be attached somewhere.
Anyway here are some pics of my steering (Finally) hope someone can help with the oversteer problem. grin

Perhaps she goes faster backwards. I am quite tall so the seat is far back making strong pressure on the forward gear a challenge.
Still cannot understand why the pictures have inverted. Odd.

Marty, the adjuster screws should be able to be adjusted out nough to prevent the front wheels from going too far, turn the wheel in the direction that it is locking on and you should be able to see what I mean, you may even need a longer bolt. As for the heel and toe operation, you can adjust the rod up the front and this will change the position of your foot, bit difficult to get at or see as it is up inside the chasis rail, once you get the split pin out you can screw the rod in or out according to what you want

Morning Folks,

Umm, is the steering tie rod/bar upside down? From the photos those stop bolts will never make contact. Or am I missing something

And I guess if it needs to be flipped the other way up it will also need to be flipped left to right?

Must be a case of not checking my sources. I thought I had copied the bar placement from a picture. I did think about it at the time but had an inkling that the stop missed either way up. I shall forthwith reverse/invert it. Perhaps on a cooler day blush

Thank you, being upside down confused the issue. The nut screws in and out and locks, Can you please indicate what it should but up to prevent the steering turning too far. Have I got the bar upside down?

Morning Marty,

Yes, your upside down. The stop bolt contacts the arm that is at right angles to tie bar in the photo. At full lock in its current arrangement the bolt will go under the arm and the opposite wheel will contact the cutter deck.
Have a play around and you'll see. As Norm says the stop bolt might need a tweak also once you have flipped it over to get the arm to contact the stop before the deck hits the wheel on the other side - especially if there is play or wear in the pivot between the bar and the arm.

The other thing you have is the tie bar we are discussing is built in pieces and has slotted holes so,you can adjust the wheel alignment if needed.

Cheers,
