Sounds like the baffle has come out of the exhaust as they shouldn't be that noisy.Yes a little more than a modem mower but still shouldn't be that bad. I think for memory that one should have had these taps. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2015/02/full-5048-20473-_57_1.jpg) These two are currently on eBay Fuel Taps As the round plastic ones certainly were not around when this old girl came out.
Here for a good time, not a long time.

Yup, those are the original tap type for this mower.
Cheers, Gadge

Thanks Gadge I thought they may have been, but it seems when the o-rings go people just replace them with the plastic ones. Now these brass ones are getting hard to find.

Yes, the 'straight' type [inlet and outlet in line] to suit the early Victas are easy to find, but not these right angle taps, any more.
Cheers, Gadge

Blue are they the ones with the little brass handle on them? Like that? Sorry it's not a good picture. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/uploads/usergals/2015/02/full-5048-20491-tap.jpg)

Yep, thats The one Mate. Suit Roto 1 And Around 85% of Roto 2. They are getting hard to get and pushing up over the 50$ mark now....
Anyways getting Back to Topic, Im sure he will find a tap...For ease of use and availability, Id stick with a New plastic, since its gonna be a regular worker.

Giddy all, Sorry been of air for a while, have replaced the tap with a plastic one, works like a charm now, I think I have found a place with a new catcher for this, says he has a Mayfair catcher and a couple of others with the hook fittings, also a new rubber snorkel, just waiting for a call back. The gent in queston has a factory full of mower bits, some old stuff, but mostly modern, here's hoping. Cheers Kirky
