Hi all,
It's a long story, but bottom line is I borrowed a Victa Corvette Series 500 (2-Stroke), it worked great for an hour one afternoon. The next morning I went to use it again and it started right up, but as soon as I move the throttle into the "Run" position the engine almost immediately shuts down. If you keep the throttle in the middle it will run until it is turned off.

I have taken the fuel system apart and cleaned it, put it all back together and get the same result.

Since I had not mixed the fuel (and was giving off a lot of blue smoke) I flushed it out and re-mixed myself (no more blue smoke).

I noticed that the spark plug cap (the L-shaped rubber boot) had split, so I taped it up and lightly sanded the spark plug and scraped the corrosion off the terminal with a screw driver.

Any ideas?
