I have been given an old Victa Imperial Mower which I am going to completely strip down and restore.
My problem is that I cannot see how the top drive sprocket in the chain case comes off.
Also I cannot remove the sprocket that drives the roller. It screws onto the shaft with a left hand thread and I cannot see any thing to stop the sprocket from being screwed off. I made a long handle spanner to fit the two holes in the sprocket and used a hammer to try and shock it free to no avail.
There is a pointed aluminium tag with the number L.1283 stamped into it and screwed to the engine.
The crankcase has the following numbers molded into it: AIF 106,19-F151,ESS
Can anyone help?
I have not worked out how to include photos yet.
