Hello
ODK history lovers
Turner made lawnmowers for just over a decade.
They left the mower-making industry on a high (record profits) in 1970.
The
Model P70 would be the final side discharge model – the
Golden Coronet.
This 18” mower was offered with a Kirby 2-stroke or 4-stroke, with an electric
start option on the four. A polythene side-catcher was also an optional extra.

This was the age of the
safety lawnmower, or as Turner coined it,
their
Safe-T Mower. Turner, one of the pioneers in Australian lawnmower
safety, gave us a double-skirted base on the Coronet.
For completeness, I should say that the P Series, included three
separate and completely different models, The
P70, PD70, and
SP70.
