I had a bloke bring me a 15/38 a couple of days ago, saying he just wanted it serviced, how much was that going to cost and then after I had given him the price, he then said that could I also look at the belt because it was coming off. I was a bit pissed off because I had told him I was very busy and really didn't have time but I would change the oil and sharpen the blades, then he threw the belt problem at me. I dropped the deck out and looked at the belt and it was obviously an "A" section belt on "B" section pulleys. I told him to go and get me a "B" section belt but it would need to be a bit longer than the "A" section one for obvious reasons He rang me and said the book lists it as an "A" section. I said I don't care what the clowns you are talking to this needs a "B" section belt fitted so get me one and don't listen to the bullshit the 15 year old kids at Red Shed are telling you, do you think Rover went to the trouble of fitting "B" section pulleys on this thing so you could fit an "A" section belt. Anyway he ended up coming back with an "A" section belt which I refused to fit and told him to take his mower away as I would not fit an "A" section belt to it. He took it away and I hope he never returns but he is so dumb he will probably come back. This is not the first time I have told him to go way but a phrase a mate uses often that he is like a dog that returns to its vomit, I expect he will return

Oh mate, why you even bother with some people. Pick your battles and charge accordingly.

Hi BT, this bloke has been coming here for years and I have put up with his total stupidity for all this time but I am done with him now. I spent 9 hours earlier in the week fitting new hinges to the ramp on his trailer, I had to repair the trailer so I could get the rideon out. I charged him $150 and then he says can he pay me half this week and the rest next week. I had to repair the trailer so I could get the rideon out. I will get so much pleasure the next time he fronts up to tell him to F off. I am giving up on trying to help people out

Are you kidding me?? Wants to pay in instalments after all that? He clearly doesn't appreciate what you do for him. He needs to go.

MF, It is my fault, I should never have done anything for him after the drama his son caused with a trail bike I got running for him a year or so back. I told him not to come back then but he came crying that he needed work done on his equipment. Once I get the money from him he will be blocked from coming here again. And he is so dumb he said we have been friends for a long time. Maybe in his opinion but I am a bit more fussy about those I call friends.

100% his fault. You're just being the good bloke that you are and he is being a sneaky rat taking advantage of your good nature. Time to put your foot down and have precisely zilch to do with him.

Certainly will MF, once he brings the balance of what he owes me next Friday. Never again will I ever let him through the gates again. And I don't feel sorry for him anymore, he is a fool

Make sure you snatch it out of his hands before running the other way into the sunset!
