Hello to all, Sorry but I am very new to this forum, so I hope this is the right area to post this in.
I have an Alroh Lawn Edger (E9 I think) with a Honda GC160 engine - and 2 of the bolts that attach the blade guard to the motor have sheared off. I have managed to retrieve the ends of the bolts from the engine, but am looking for replacements.
They are a hex bolt with what looks to be a built in spacer. After some searching online, I found this diagram - attached as picture. The bolt I refer to is #17 on this diagram but nowhere can I find the part number. Was wondering if anyone had info or was knowledgeable and had a part number for this bolt? I need 2 new blade bearings as well, but that one I worked out myself, they are 6201RS with snap ring x 2 of them.
There are 4 of these bolts so I have still got 2 in full, the others sheared off sadly. This diagram seems to show the exact bolt at #17 but no part number is shown.
I would genuinely appreciate any help you can give. Thank you
Hi Mark, These special bolts can be hard to come across so you might have to dummy one up using a bolt, washer and a bit of tube to fit over the bolt. That is what I would probably have to do.
Another option would be to measure up the bolt size and buy something close ,even if the shoulder of the bolt is too long and you need to add a few flat washers.
I guess you should be able to find something close off a mower or car seat belt bolt etc.
Sorry for taking so long to reply - and thank you for your suggestions and photos.
@Tyler - Yep thank you for that, after some research and just a touch prior to your post - I did manage to find Wayne from Cylinder Mowers WA in Mandurah.
He is amazing and an absolute top bloke - new bolts received from him.
So for anyone that needs Alroh parts, he is your go to - reasonable prices, and they arrived quickly too.
