Hey all,

I have removed my mk2 midget engine from my Austral Villiers 16" delux to replace a faulty coil and in the process i would love to replace the cork in the clutch but i will be buggered if i can get it appart. Has anyone seen these apart or know how to do it??

See attached pictures

I use the mower once a week and it cuts like a dream, my sir walter buffalo mowed to 18mm.

Thanks in advance

Hello Scottb3
This is frustrating!

In the absence of a parts list the issue is how the
primary clutch is disassembled.

Note that the compression spring is in tension,
meaning that a circlip probably sits behind the
side bearing and its casing.

The bearing and its casing may be removed by
a soft mallet (best guess) and a circlip may
then be visible.

Any owners out there? Help!

Hey jack, thanks for the reply.

I did find an photo from an old Austral Villiers Rebuild thread on here that had a few photos of it apart but i just couldnt see enough on them to see how it goes together. I may just leave it for now as it does work so might be best not to fix it! I am looking forward to having a new coil on the villiers midget as she ran a it rough for a while before the coil completely gave it in!

Cheers
Scotty
