Hi All

My old neighbour up the road is slowly losing his sight, I normally mow his lawn when I do mine, he was a bit bored this morning and decided to get his self drive Honda out and do his front lawn.

I went up to see how he was going and noticed that 90% of the time he was cutting, the front wheels were 6 inches off the ground, when he saw me he asked if I could put a set of blades on for him as the mower was leaving the grass to long. I tried to explain to him what was happening but he didn't believe me so I took the mower home "to put the blades on" then took it back an hour later did a quick lap around his yard and he told me see it was the blades.
Will keep his blades for next time.

Mich, You got to remember the customer is always right. shocked Oh well it is not always the case but some can't be argued with either as they think they know more than the tech servicing the mower.

I had one a few weeks ago gripping about what I charge for fixing for his chainsaw where I charged half of what I normally charged. He want to charge 1940 rates.

Hi mich and AVB,
sounds like the self propelled is too quick for the geezer to keep up which might explain why it's doing a wheelie as it mows.

AVB, did you explain that to him? He sounds like a customer you don't need. You should tell him so.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

I tried but he has a head like Granite stone wall. He just went on saying the local Co-op would install inner tubes including the inner tube at $7 each for 20x10-8 tires when the tubes cost me over $10 each which I sell for $16 installed. Not bad price considering I have to dismount the tires to check for thorns and other puncture items and then remount them.

I just not accepting any further work from him as if he can get the Co-op do work for less than cost he should be going there instead my place.
