The bolt hole just next to where I was pointing out the broken casting is one offending mounting point, and the second is on the other side towards the back, so you have this rocking motion when you pull the starter!! Not good.
The dark cowl may not be strictly original, but Iike how it looks with the red base and it is the same casting and that's how I recieved it so I'm happy to leave it. I can always paint it up down the track.
Normk, I would prefer to go imperial so do you know the next size up? I believe it is BSW system.
