Take them back to the shop.
They sold them to you for what you said you wanted them for and they do not fit.
I would say once upon a time you would have been able to get belts from a rover dealer that had a nice carboard slip over them with the rover logo etc on them.
Machine is older now and you would be lucky to walk into a big dealer and find a guy that knows what a colt is. Restoring old jap bikes is fun. A good parts guy is worth his weight in parts.
