Ok Ive measured the new belts. The cutter belt is supposed to be 59" long but is actually 61" ( packet says B59 and belt is stamped B59). Likewise the smaller A38 belt actually measures longer at 40" . Each belt is 2" too long and when trying to fit them they did look about 2" too long to do the job. I am guessing the issue could be coversion between our Aussie belts vs USA belts. Looks like a trip back to the mower shop!
