I suggest you squirt a small amount of fuel either through the air intake or through the spark plug hole, then try again to start it. If it starts and runs for a couple of seconds then stops, the problem is fuel (carburetor, or induction air leak). If it doesn't start, the problem is spark, compression, or port blockage.
