My personal opinion... Keep them :-)
As you're aware, you can't get them anymore because they're not making them anymore. If there is a way to resurrect them, at some point they'll be worth something to someone.
I confess I'm a bit bias, I love the PowerTorque engines, especially the later VE series.
You may find it's cheaper to buy the gear to rebore yourself if you have enough of them. If you're willing to pay say $60 each and you have 40, if you can buy the machinery for $2400 or less you're saving money (unless you include the piston and ring cost)
