I feel that electric is the future, however, we're not there yet for much more than small-average sized yards. Once they do get there, then they may start getting rare. That said, if the battery required to be a viable alternative for larger or small commercial spaces is that large and heavy, it's possible the petrol mower will be around for a significant time.

Personally, I'd also prefer to see a new PowerTorque. Yes it may add complexity, but they could even make an injected model, increasing efficiency and keeping the additional power of the PowerTorque 2-stroke.
