Never thought I would see one in the flesh let alone get my hands on one, ok, it's not in the best of condition but the basics are there and motor is not seized. It has the GEB engine, number 4929 and the Bing Nornberg carby which I think is original. Just need to put a bit of fresh fuel in, new oil and plug and I should be mowing with it in no time and the scratches in the paint work will polish straight out I reckon. OK, maybe not, hard to see myself getting the bits and pieces required to get her going again but who knows, I hope it can happen one day. One thing is for sure, these things were made strong and this unit has had every last mow rung out of it and even though it's missing bits it is heavy. The deck is still in great shape but that is hardly surprising considering it looks like it was manufactured to withstand the odd land mine blast. Happy to have it on the shelf, if only mowers could talk !
