The Victa Corsair is having a problem going up slight inclines. It appears as though the axle (or parts holding the axle) has too much play and then the blades sink into the ground thus the mower comes to a grinding halt, you would not notice anything on level or downhill ground. What would the fix be for this please?

Is the slot where the axle sits elongated? if yes there is a kit to fix this on some victas available fairly cheaply.

Bruce meantioned it to me on the forum after I cut and shut the base with my grinder and MIG, I assume it is a fairly common kit as I have had a few machines with this already fitted.
