My 1999 rover rancher is coughing. I think the fuel pump is dead. It runs OK but the fuel tank needs to be nearly full. Can I bypass the fuel pump or do I need to replace it?
Acording to the parts list you have a fuel filter as part of the fuel tap and if you have a fuel filter as well before the fuel pump I would be replacing both filters before playing with the pump.
Let us know how you go after doing the replacement of the fuel filters.

Thanks for your help. I replaced the inline fuel filter and that made a big diffrence. The air intake into the fuel pump was clogged so when this was cleaned the fuel got through well. I will replace the filter at the bottom of the tank next.
Glad that I was of some help. If you have any other problems just post again or even try the chatroom between 8pm & 8.30pm most nights and we will do our best to help you.
