Hi & firstly thanks to Bruce I've just got my mower running like a dream.

Mainly from his responses in the below thread. Mate you're a bloody champion.

I'd overfilled the crank case & it was causing the mower to stall under load when cutting.

Anyway all is fine & it's going strong now.

I have one question, what does the lever from the block that attaches to the carby do? is it a choke?

Also does the spring stretch causing the butterfly to restrict airflow & power?

That should be the governor which works when the machine is under load it should increase the speed.
