I have a homelite st175...UT 20541

it starts beautifully, but when you squeeze the trigger it boggs down and dies, i have tried to ajust the 2 screws L H but they are plastiv and have some thought of fins( what i call them)
so you can only go a certain distance either way.
with either of the screws..
what is the procedure please bruce..

do you have the owners manual please i found the parts one but not the owners manual..

Briggsboy,

You need to do a couple of things:

1. Take the exhaust off and check that the exhaust port is not cloged up with carbon and muffler as well.

3. Then re-tune the carby and see if you have the same problem.

Try this stuff first befor we ga any further.

PS. Take the nylon off when testing.
