Hi wwwspw,

I want you to try to do a couple of things:

1. First get a new spark plug.

2. Make sure that non of the wires from the coil are not earthing out.

3. Do that the wires from the stop switch are also not earthing out.

4. Disconnect wires earthing to the frame.

5. Check air gap between the coil and flywheel it should only be at the biggest a business card clearence.

6. Now test for spark by holding the plug against the frame.

The spark on these units is very poor at the best of times, so look very carefull. smile

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for the above, I checked that and all appears to be ok. I had the coil tested at a repair centre and was told it was dead. Is it possible to fix it or is there available a replacement coil?
Thanks and Regards.
