Hello,

I have a McCulloch 250 in premo condition. My question: while looking at the heads of the adjusting screws (carb still in saw), which screw is the Hi and which one is the Lo? Most saws that I have used have the screws marked. The 250 apparently doesn't.

If someone does know which is which, would you also be able to tell me the rounds (setting) for each screw? The idle screw is accessed only by removing the top cover and air-filter.

The saw starts great, but begins to cut out slightly on WOT. I bought the saw for $169.00 from a fella that cuts alot of wood, and he assured me that it's dependable. Well, it is, but it stumbles a bit while in the cut.

I have two other McCullochs that are total workhorses. This 250 needs to join the bunch.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post.

Kemis,

If you use the search button on the board you will get the information on carby setting for the saw.
