Whatever it is it looks different, something I would love to add to my collection but damn too far away...

Hi Joe, why not give Tiny's a ring and find out....maybe Ty or Jeffrey could pick it up and bring it over when they come this way.

Jeffrey saw it first hand yesterday, and had no idea what it was, he'd never seen one before.
I've been string intently at this picture and yesterdays one trying to work it out...
Cheers Ty

We may have to have a coin toss Joe, I was actually heading down tomorrow to see if it was still there for me...
Let's see what it is, and if it's still there, then we can have a coin toss, naughsts and crosses, draw straws, whatever, and work out where it will live!
Cheers Ty

Hi all, I spent a fair bit of time going through the Vintage mowers site last night, and something about that mower motor seems familiar. I was going through the photo gallery of peoples collections drooling for the most part.. and I reckon that motor was amoungst the mix, not so sure it was on that base I think I may have seen it on a mower that had no cutting disc and was on its side (restored) for the photo... Worth a look in anycase guys..might help ID it....

Good photo find there Ty! Not the one I had in mind, but a much better photo of the motor you found there! Geez is it just me or would it be reasonable to suspect that Victa engineers may have had the patent of the JAP motor to work from it looks like they may have found their powertorque layout here? What do you think Ty? Anybody know any Victa engineers of the era to ask? I hope it went to a good home....
