I have a 18 hp briggs twin and when it is cold seems to run fine but when warmed up and you shut it down it will not start,it is getting plenty of fuel and I can detect a spark but not sure if it is a strong spark any suggestions????

I had a similar experience with one on a traded mower. Found out eventually that it originally was fitted with a small fan underneath the engine which stopped it over heating. See if you can find out from MTD Service dept in Melbourne Joe
