Hi I recently bought an old lawn mower which the guy showed me working.. I brought it home pulled the cord and it snapped
I took the pull cord chassis apart and battled with the coiled spring to thread the cord back through, after fitting the cord chassis back on it works fine but wont start
Im not sure if there is a petrol valve somewhere or a pump? The lawnmower is 4 stroke, has Brigss n Stratton engine, number 11 on front of mower in cast iron metal and Masport on the grass collector. On top of the engine it has nob that reads, off start and run. I obviously turn it to start, I can smell petrol but pulling on the cord doesnt want to start it... any ideas???
