I recently overhauled the carby(black plastic with white primer cover)om my trusty old (1997) victa, now she refuses to start, has no spark, I am determined to get her going myself, but have her indoors going on about putting it in to a mower repair outlet..... can anybody help?

Rob, When you did the carby did you make sure that you put the two wires in correctly? We have details on the carby under the parts list and manuals this section that will help you fix your problem.

cheers for the info Bruce, have got her to spark, starts, but stalls when fuel in carby runs out, will run if I continually prime it. I drained the tank and carby and replaced with new fuel, starts first pull, but stell wont run on its own, might have to see the bank manager tomorrow......

rowdyrobertneil, 1. Have you checked the fuel flow from the tank to the carby? 2. When you put the primmer cap back on did you make sure that the line on the cap is horizontal? 3. Did you check that you didn't damage the �'ring on the outlet of the cylinder. 4. Did you take the starter housing off?

darrin, Yes anyone can get to the manual section of the board providing they are willing to donate to the upkeep of the board but for those that have no interest in supporting the board then they are unable to get to that section.
