I've stripped and re-built my Victa Series 80 Contractor (new piston, rings, gaskets etc). Would start and idle okay at low revs then die as soon as I tried to pump up the throttle. Cleaned the carby out, now when I start it, fuel leaks out the side of the carby - got new rubber seal for it - the float assembly fell out and I tried putting it back together - now it squirts fuel out the rubber priming bulb??? Any ideas????

Also what is the alignment point for the ignition timing - I thought it is the '2' marks on the zip starter and flywheel assembly but it sounds like it is still slightly out. Also - is there any info on the the air/fuel hose connections to the carby etc too??

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have lost the carby needle. I have sent you info on the carby.
