This isn't the hardest/biggest job the old Gal has tackled by a long shot, but the photos doesn't show the 2 inch deep water futher up the easement that she slogged through or other grass and crap down the other end of the end that was upto my shoulder. The little bar on the front of her just pushes all the green down flat and the blade just chomps right on through!
I used to use her to mow/slash an acerage property out Caboolture way that was a complete swamp after a butt-load of rain earlier in the year where the entire property was between knee to waist height. But everytime I took her there since something else has gone wrong with the poor old bird. After that job I broke down the engine and gave her a good clean out, adjusted the throttle control and some MUCH needed TLC. Well bugger me if she didn't start flying around the place tackling hills in 3rd gear she could never do in 1st. I swear if I flapped my arms she damn near take off!
Next time I went to mow that proeperty I found a couple of potholes where they'de ripped out some old bushes. Hit them at full speed in 3rd on a curve and almost threw me outa the seat like a bloody bucking bull, snapped the spindle housing and one of the tabs on the disc boss assembly, tore up the cutter belt and lost a deck bolt.
Took me a bit to fix her up again as cracking the spindle nut was a pain in the arse (finally got it with a couple of meter long iron pipes and 25mm spanners). Replaced the belt, ground down the boss assembly etc, and all was good again.
Next time, same property.. A couple of the bolts that hold the casing ontop and the oil dipstick tube inplace dissapeared and the bloody dipstick came out. Didn't realise until she was sounding rough and I find oil splashed down the back of one leg and all over the frame floor. Poor bugger of a thing just hasn't been the same since then
