G'day all,
I have a "White Outdoors Product" LT-12 ride on with a B&S 12HP engine.
I want to run a 12V shurflow sprayer off the back.
It does have an amp meter but it is not connected.
So i have 2 questions:
1 Does the B&S have a generator/alternator and if so how many amps does it put out and will it run a 12V sprayer?
2 Does anyone know how this amp meter should be wired in so I can use it? (I have checked for wires that may have been disconnected and can't find any)

Thanks in Advance.

Chris E,

We will upload information on the Briggs Alternators which will tell you amount of amps that they put out (many different types).

We will also upload the owners manual for the White LT-12 ride on which includes the wiring for the amp meter.

It will be under parts list and manuals area under Question on mowers. cheers2

I have the B&S 12HP and I have been trying to work out how the battery charges. I can't seem to see any wiring that would support it. It's a rover rancher 01866

There is an ammeter on the dash so I guess I just follow the wiring back and see where it goes. Never seen the meter move so it's either buggered or the alternator is ka-put

Sometimes I have found (the alternator is under the flywheel) just thoroughly cleaning all the dust and dirt out can sometimes help with charging problems.

Its also possible the ammeter or diode between the alternator could be stuffed. smile
