JohnDeere chainsaw No acceleration

This chainsaw was not running so I rebuilt the carb and it started after a little help, but now has no acceleration I have adjusted the carb(Zama) numerous times and at different settings it only gets worse, feels like it was binding but took the chain off and does the same thing. Another thing I noticed was that the sparkplug tip was grayish /white before I rebuilt the carb. I have checked the compresion and it is around 120 psi could there be a possibilty that this engine got hot at one time?

Just a couple of questions:

1. Did you remove the exhaust and check to see if the cylinder had any scoring?

2. Did you replace the fuel filter in the tank when you replaced the diaphrams?

3. Did you replace the screen in the carby as well?

4. Did you pressure test the carby for leaks?

5. Did you check the flow of fuel to the carby?

I went through the questions and found out that the fuel line in the tank had a tear in it thus not supplying enough fuel, so this problem solved but then the throttle cable broke when I removed the carb, can you tell me if this chainsaw is made by Homelite for JohnDeere and if it is what model homelite would it be? The JohnDeere model is 10778a and serial# js28110068 I am sure Homelite parts are a bit cheaper than JD.
