Hi Geekayz,
Yes going by the engine number 1973.
Link below for Model History.
https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.a...94/re-model-45-history-record-c1968.htmlThis Scott Bonnar MODEL 45 looks to be in good condition to suit restoration.
And is this one worth the effort of restoration.
It's worth restoring if you want to cut the grass with it .If you're restoring the mower to make profit then
I guess you would need to know the market for them in your area as in my area I've sold other makes
of reel mowers that were refurbished and only got $60. for them ,they were bought in a job lot of mowers
so didn't cost much and took a while to sell , and the only people here that were interested in
them were collectors or one guy that wanted the mower to cut a putting green at home. From memory I
gave away free working 2 stroke whipper snippers with the reel mowers. I've also seen similar Scott Bonnars
sell around here for $100 to $150.that need a little work.I've even seen a few people who put an old reel mower
in the middle of their front lawn as garden art.
There are a few wanted to buy Scott Bonnar 45 mowers on Gumtree for around $300.
Cheers
Max
