Here's some stale looking petrol that's amber in colour I got out of a mower. Would it be unwise to throw it into the gas tank of my car since it will dilute a lot?

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Hi Mf,

I wouldn't put it into a car tank ,although I have used fuel like that in an old car with a carby if I was going to use all the fuel in the tank
that day.

I usually put a small amount on the ground and light it to see how it burns , if it burns I just use it in a Briggs 3.75 sprint with the primer
carby, if it doesn't burn you could mix it with 50 percent of new fuel and use it in the sprint 3.75.

Cheers
Max.

Hi maxwestern,

I was also thinking of using it ais a cleaner as it evaporates, if it doesn't stink too badly.

Can also use as a weed killer.

PS did the lighting test on a bit of ground and ignited as you'd expect. Looks like a Briggs will be getting some energy drink.
