I have three partial Victa full crank engines I am taking to scrap and wanted to see if I could fully separate the aluminium crankcase from the rest. It took a bit of work but I got there. Is it worth it,? Probably not, but it was interesting to see what it takes.
There's one left to take apart.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

One was siezed and took a few blows with a hammer to get off after soaking with penetrant, destroying it in the process. The other is a 125 G4 barrel. I'll try to save the third one which is a 160.

What model mower/engine was the crankshaft with the tapered sleeve still in place?

Mark 4 160 from the 70s. No idea what mower it was on as I bought the partial motor to get the cooling fan off it.
