Hi, I have two Powerplus mowers now. I need a brass grommet for the starter.... Just trying to find the part, no luck.... Will I have to make one.....
If you don't have one the cord shreds quickly.....
I have hwo other starters but grommets are worn....

Hi speedy,
Most of the ones I get are pretty worn but they don't seem to damage the cord.

Hi NormK and speedy,
that has worn to a jagged edge that looks like it could shred the cord. I know with the cup starters you could get replacement grommets or a nylon add on over the top as seen below..
I had to throw away an otherwise perfectly fine PT starter because the collar where the cord exits was an early built in non replaceable one that had worn in one spot and was binding the cord.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

That loks like a good idea MF. An Norm, I sometimes file the groove a bit smoother...
I have plenty of whipper snipper heads with grommets in, I might try to put one of those in.

Hi speedy,

We are at present doing a stock take (which we should have done by the end of June) and finding a lot of old new stock which we are loading on the site and listing them under clearance items showing stock quantity available.
