It was a lucky day for me..... A 1982 PowerPlus 160cc from my add on gumtree, "Wanted Dead or Alive old Victas" I've had it running for a few years and it has got me a few nice machines. The guy said he wanted it to go to someone who will look after it.... and his sister had one to go as well. A Tandem 550A with a Honda motor. A solid little steel base. no axle slap.....
So much to do, just gotta do what I can when I have the energy. Plenty of rest..... cheers speedy

Couple of great mowers there speedy. That is all I do these days, do a bit on a mower go inside have a break then come out again and do a bit more when I feel like it
I tried the 4 stroke first as I thought the Victa will be long drawn out job..... Anyway took the busted starter off, cleaned flywheel, sanded it... took carb off , main jet was blocked., gave it a clean..... Anyway it rolled off my bench and broke the height adjustment handle...... bugger, I'll shorten it....... and make it work
Now engine is good, I'll give it a sand and rust kill and new colour,.......... ??? The wheels have got those funny washers that don't come off easy, like on my 1950's toys..................................I got it off and it broke, and the bearing was locked on and a bit rusted... bodgie stuff,,,,,,,,, i hate those things. Cyclops put them on their little cars and bikes trikes etc.
Yer Norm, I see why you like Honda......... cheers speedy

Nice looking mower that two stroke. It doesnβt seem to have done a lot of work and, aside from rear hubcaps, complete, which is rare from that era these days. Nice pickup.
Just joined so very new to this! I use to live in Australia but had to return back to the UK. However, the good new is I brought my Victa Mustang with me and desperately need some help & support.
Is there any UK contact or even anyone that can help. Regard Tony

The Powerplus looks clean on the outside... Carb full of gunk, decompressor full of carbon, Took cover off drive belts, it should not look like this. I cleaned and oiled up axles . The lever doesn't disengage drive so there's something wrong.... It's good to work on a Powertorque after so many others...... speedy

Put it all together.....to test motor..... didn't loose the mini decompressor spring but lost one of those 3 clips that hold it together, then noticed it on the other side of my bench......whey................ Started second pull, heaps of compression, ran so smooth. It's the best powertorque I've had for years..... I'm keeping this on.
A little loosened up the drive and clutch, now it works properly..... I sprayed wd40 all over the drives and gearbox area. must check gearbox oil or grease..... Mowed the whole lawn, as we are expecting big rain...... Bundaberg is perfect town for people who like mowing............ speedy

Hi speedy, Easy to see why it is the smoothest powertorque you have had for years and that is because it is a full crank, they run smoother because of the extra crank weight
Hey AVB, this is what most Aussies wear for mowing the lawn. Some use barefeet............. People couldn't be bothered putting their boots on........ Years ago , I would never mow without workboots........... speedy
