Oink oink greedy.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Yep, that’s the exploitative folks at full tilt there. They’re picking up a semi trailer load of hard rubbish and flogging components for $100 each. I just shake my head in disbelief.

It seems so weird that I’m wondering if, in fact, it’s some sort of code and they’re really pedalling something else entirely!

Even in your own private jet you could get from all the mowers your sell at such high profit margins?

Hi all,

Some people think the Victa 18 alloy base mower was the first Victa made ,I remember when I thought $15. was too much
for a plastic air filter, back then complete mowers were $25.

Cheers
Max.

Hi Max,
I do remember selling you 15 early Victas for $10 each because I was swamped with mowers and just had to get rid of some

Hi Norm

I remember buying a few when you had about 50 ,but you wouldn't sell me the Victa mowers as that was what you repaired and sold but I remember getting 3 old Victa mowers from you , a couple of VC mowers and a seventies Pace.,I think a couple were 125 cc ,I thought I only got about 10 mowers ,you offered a Sunbeam Victa but I had a few already so didn't take it, then another time I got a few Corvettes that I still have.

The Victa 18 mowers I would buy complete for $25. About 10 years ago at markets.

I did get I think 3 incomplete 18s from you Norm in bits on another occasion but paid a fair amount for them.

Cheers
Max.

From Memory Max I had 5 of those early 18's and I was selling them for $50 each and I think you took the last 3. I think up to $100 is reasonable but after that it gets stupid money. I had a couple of those early bases in good condition, one was repainted and I sold those for $20

Hi Norm,

Just trying to remember Norm ,I saw 3 at your place and bought one alloy base 18 and one sixties steel base Victa the motor was all
apart in a box and I left the other alloy 18 there ,you said you had more so possibly I bought the first 2.

I still see Victa 18 mowers for $50. to $100. , it just depends how many original parts are on them ,I still see them thrown out at the tips
but a lot of the tips won't sell or let you take mowers. There were 2 free ones advertised on market place not long ago ,one still had the Auto
badge. The free mowers usually go by 30 minutes of the ad being put up .

If I saw an old 18 for $150. but the mower had a rare hard to find part I'd buy the mower.

Cheers
Max.
