Hi speedy, I have had a few of these triangle shaped rocker cover motors end up here but I have never even bothered to pull the cover off to see what goes on inside. Not bad little mower for somebody living in a unit with a postage size yard to mow
Hi Norm and speedy, It looks to be the same motor and chassis as the yellow YardKing. Yeah funny little valve cover but can confirm it has the usual under it, just oriented a bit unusual.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
Got it going, mowed full lawn. need to look at govener as revs were a bit down. Didn't fix starter yet.Used my Bosch power starter..... and arm saver. Sharpened bar blade. , didn't close cut... but OK. I'll try to put disk on... get revs up..... and get rid of it. cheers speedy
........................Keep your blades sharp......................
The one I fitted a round Victa blade carrier with 4 blades on a Sprinter body it didn't seem a bad little mower. Only issue I had with the Yardking motor was that because it was self propelled it had a short shaft about 40mm from memory, which meant I had a bit of messing around to get the blade carrier low enough so the blades were at the right height
