Do you mean inclement weather we've been having around Sydney? It's been helping our lawn (especially the weeds) but I'm getting a bit Jack of hanging washing on indoor racks for over a week now.
Come on Summer, do your job.

Do you mean the flooding rain in QLD, the moderate rain in NSW...

Or the the weeks of blistering hot 40+ degree days in WA which crucified the lawns, put such a load on the electric grid that we were getting 190v out of the outlet, nearly gave me heat stroke and meant I couldn't do 90% of the projects/repairs I had planned?

Come on winter, do your bloody job

Usually around if you wait a day or two it changes. But lately it been just raining and cold. Rain from slight drizzle to the bottom falling out. I admit we here are in the middle of our winter months so no growing annual grasses.

Not around here. On off rain every day for over a week. A sunny day in Summer is not too much to ask.

Could do with some rain down here, my fishpond up the back is getting low. I pumped 400 litres into it over the last couple of weeks and it could do with another couple of hundred now.
So sorry for all the people up north they seem to get these massive floods every few years. I don't know how people can pick themselves up and get going again after loosing everything several times during their life. Each time I have bought a house I look around the area and I look at the houses down the street and if the water came up before it got to my place the roofs of the houses down the street would be under water

We are getting a few mini storms coming across every afternoon, might hit or might miss. But the grass is growing with water and heat.
I mowed a week ago and today..... right up to water, as we are expecting more rain for next week.....
The Victa Utility with the 4 blade mulching disc ploughed through..... with sharp blades.
cheers speedy

Hi Norm, I'm lucky to have that free Victa utility, broken starter cord. A lady responded to my gumtree post. "Wanted Dead or Alive, old Victas" it's just a hobby........
It powered through the wet stuff, with sharp blades ........ I did two other lawns yesterday and one small one for a lady friend today, one was for a lady friend yesterday a freebie.....
That's the way to make ladyfriends......
cheers

The water dried up and I sharpened the blades, and mowed again. I just cleaned carb, plug . and only put a little fuel in.
I mowed half and it ran out of fuel, did the REV thing. I tried to turn it off with throttle lever, no good, I picked up a shovel and knocked the spark plug lead off....... i couldn't believe it, it kept on revving..... maybe there was hot particles in combustion chamber that just kept it going...... then it stopped...
Let it cool down, fueled it and finished the job.......
that's 5 days, the front lawn is the same, rain and sun, magic......
cheers
speedy
