Hi there. I was wondering I have a greenfield 28” ride on that I have finally managed to completely overhaul. It’s was running perfectly but I have had it sitting for about a month with starting it. Went to start it today and it’s surging really badly almost like there’s a ghost inside😁I’ve attached a video so everyone can see what’s going on. Just wondering if anyone knows what’s the problem is. Thanks in advance for the help. Sorry I can’t upload a video cos of the file type. In the photos the control arm moves quite vigorously and the engine surges abruptly and starts back firing

Hi Jared

Sounds like the carby will need dismantling and cleaning.

First Video is an example only as the Video shows different carbs but same principal.

The last one I had that surged needed the emulsion tube to be removed and cleaned then it ran well.

can't see a video, but see the little brass screw at the bottom of the carby? thats the high speed mixture, slowly wind it out until it stops surging. there are videos on youtube on properly tuning them

G'day Jared and nath

That would be worth trying first as nath says ,if it doesn't work then work on the carby.

If the carby does need a clean out.I would replace the fuel with new fuel just in case it's gone off.

Cheers
Max.
