I have been collecting QPS mowers whenever I find one, I have 3 now. Made in Brisbane by Queensland Pastural Supplies in the 1950’s, I have the large Master Mower and two smaller Cambridge machines
This Cambridge Deluxe machine appears to have done little work and just needed the magneto serviced, carb and fuel tank cleaned. It is missing its pull start so hopefully I will find one to complete the mower. It is powered by a small JAP two stroke engine, very popular on mowers of that era.
Nice mower paul_c. I have vague recollections from 60 yrs ago of using a mower with that funny shaped yellow fuel tank and that wierd looking handle placement. Did they fold down? I know Jap motors were on a lot of machines. cheers speedy

Non folding bars on this one as they were in those early days of rotary mowers, the overtype peanut tank was pretty much exclusive to the JAP and Villiers engines.
Went to a friends house yesterday and was given a recoil starter for my Cambridge Deluxe mower, after fitting a new spring, handle and a coat of paint it was as good as new. These JAP recoil starters are near impossible to find, he had it on a mower that was in his garden as art 👍 Really completes the mower and works very well.
