G'day All,
Does anyone know if you can still buy the blades that suit Scott Bonnar (Morrison) Mini hoe. There are 6 blades per side bolted in a triangular pattern. I can't seem to find any on the net, can't even find an old spare parts list. Any help would very much appreciated. cheers Mike

Hello MM-mowers
I'm glad that you raised this topic. Many thanks.

I know you say that the Mini Hoe had a NZ Morrison heritage.
I think that is the case too [see Gallery].

The SB model designation was 6900608

That triangular pattern seems unique to Morrison ...
But the machine design presents as North American inspired.

I have found no spare parts list either.
I hope a member can offer some insight.

Cheers

Hi mm mowers,
Maybe a local engineering shop could make some...... You'd just have to get right spring steel.
cheers

Hi Mike

Could you post up a few photos of the machine, specifically the blades and blade bosses? At this point, my recommendation would be getting a blade boss and blades for a masport home gardener.

Jack, thank you the picture (1976) is the one, I send my local masport rep some photos but sadly masport don't sell any spare parts for them anymore. cheers Mike

Hi MM
This topic does have a resolution - but not a satisfying one.

Morrison's connection with Scott Bonnar came about
because of a NZ Challenge Corp takeover of SB,
and then, a Masport Takeover of Morrison.

The 'Right to Repair' movement is often hindered by the
lack of availability of spare parts and the lack of effort
to support that availability.

Otherwise perfectly good machines have a premature life
because manufacturers cease to exist or makers
cease to support their products.

MM. many thanks for asking the question and
raising the topic.

Cheers
