I picked this up today and it appears to be in great shape for its age. I think a qualcast 16. Late 40's? Any ideas and info please!

Hello Hepisbar.
Yes, a Qualcast 16 confirmed.

I have started a History Record here: -
LINK: https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=75286

This is a post WWII machine that I date to the mid-1950s.
It is a fully imported machine, and the tinplate covers that run
horizontally across the frame cross tubes indicate this is the
final iteration of the Great 16. Quite rare now.

Many thanks for saving this one.
Please keep us informed.

Thanks Jack!

I need to find or make new handles and the cables are stretched, but It looks like I could fire it up and it would cut grass. I even have the catcher! I think I will be keeping this one... :-) it has a strange locking clutch lever, never seen one before.

Does anyone know if there is a service manual, exploded drawing etc for this mower?
