As some of you guys have probably worked out, I am always on the look out for stuff I need (or will need in the future ... honestly rolleyes)

Here are a few of the latest things I have seen

Autobarn have some PowerG tools out on clearance for $10 apiece .

https://www.autobarn.com.au/ab/Auto...LED-WORKLIGHT-1600LM-SKIN-ONLY/p/TO31171
https://www.autobarn.com.au/ab/Autobarn-Category/Brands/PowerG/20V-CORDLESS-AIR-COMPRESSOR/p/AC66259
https://www.autobarn.com.au/ab/Auto...0V-CORDLESS-HEAT-GUN-SKIN-ONLY/p/TO31170

Have been trying to avoid Chinese garbage on principle, but these actually seem good quality. 5 year warranty as well

These fit Aldi xfinity 20v - which are out in a week or so in a special buy.

As a heads up: it is very easy to modify the light to fit other batteries (such as XU1 and Ozito 18v) with the ability to switch the pins into other holes.
The compressor has the pin mounting screw holes tapped, but you would have to drill slots.
The heat gun is more difficult to modify and if you open it up, make sure you see where the spring went... oops.

Light is amazing - amazing amount of power. 2 intensities, ran 40 minutes on a 2.5ah battery and showed no sign of being about to run out.
Air compressor has a digital read out, a low pressure outlet and high pressure outlet which run independently.

Haven't tried the heat gun yet

They run fine on 18v (since the guts of both are same)

On another note, check your local repco clearance table for Kromex tools; they got a tonne of them when GPC bought out Covs. Taiwanese (which is at least better than chinese) and some of the prices scanning are pretty good. 86c for most pin/centre punches, $3 for cold chisels, socket rails (with sockets) around the $10 mark

You know how to find the steals Tyles.
My Aldi 4L cordless air comp has given up the ghost and even though it has the balance of warranty left, I might just get the $10 one. You have to wait for the tank to fill up which takes forever. I'd rather one that just continually pumps.

Heat gun might be useful, although I already have one that plugs in and it's a good one -again from Aldos!

I will be going for a drive this weekend.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

MF, this one wont substitute for an air compressor as it has no tank. And I warn you - it isn't quiet.

But it works well for what it is

Was at repco the other day and found that they had Molybond 2.5kg antiseize out on clearance for $12 a tin.

Its a big yellow tin "Molybond GOG" - seems like regular copper based antiseize with a lot of MoS2 (Molybdenum Di sulfide) for anti wear. Supposed to be for heavy duty operations.

Not sure what the price was before clearance but knowing Molybond, it can't have been under $100 for 2.5kg

Been a few years since they stocked it as a regular item, and was on clearance for $40 for a while so stock is probably low

Worth checking your local repco

MF, a good 60% of repco items are in store only. Their online one did have nearly 10000 items at one point, went down to 3000 now back to 6k

Just letting everyone know Repco have the Gregory's Small Engine 2 manual out on clearance. $29 online, 23.20 in store

Covers Victa PT, Briggs incl Quantum, Stihl saws and trimmers like 009 and fs81, a few old mac chainsaws and eager beaver and Suzuki Rover 2 stroke

If you have an RAC card (or NRMA, etc) it ends up being $23.20. But the only way it will work is in store. If you order delivery or click and collect it is $29

Repco's Clearance section is a very good place to find ridiculously marked down gear - the problem is that it's a terrible website in terms of knowing whats actually in stock at any nearby Repco stores. BUT if you're happy to sift through it (6200+ items at present with very limited sorting abaility) you can find some amazing buys - might have to check my local again now. ;-)

N1kko, it is a pain to navigate. I have made a .bat file with the things I want in it, then have a list of stores, select store then run the .bat file in chrome and it opens up all my items, check whats where, then close them all and put in another location and start again.

If I was more computer literate I am sure there would be a better way.

A few months ago I got 3x water manifolds for Holden Camira, normally 150+ each, repco clearance for $30

Seems to be out a little cheaper, but not enough to make it worth while

Yeah I don't think it's worth buying any more a spray bottle with petrol does the same thing 90 percent of the time,
the only time the ether is better is when the valves and seats are little rusted.
