Hi guys,

I've got a Briggs I/C 8HP (193707) in a Rover Colt 8 that has seized. Due to the smallish deck, there's not much in the way of new engines that we can replace it with.

Does anyone know if the Briggs I/C 10.5HP (28B707 or 257707) is the same overall dimensions and a straight swap for the 8HP ?.

The 10.5hp will be taller and longer than the 8, but the mounting bolts should be the same. Should fit but can't say ive seen one done off the top of my head.

Depending on what the engine is going to cost you I would be looking for a whole mower before putting a new one on one of those frames, but entirely up to you
