Had a bloke come here yesterday to pick up a Victa. He had bought 2 new mowers in the last 3 years and both ended up in the rubbish. He had borrowed his fathers 25 year old Victa and couldn't believe how well it worked and his father just told him to find somebody who is fixing up the 2 stroke Victas and just get one of those. He went away a very happy man. I didn't bother asking him what the 2 mowers he had bought were but $600 was mentioned so I assume it was for the 2 mowers about $300 each

Both of us have written numerous times about the quality of
modern entry-level domestic lawnmowers.

Once a garden product, they have become expendable,
economically non-repairable, household appliances.



I guess it all depends on circumstances, but as a
general rule, folks get what they pay for in crazy
throw-away world.
