I'm new to mower restoration and to these forums but am enjoying both.

I have a Rover Regal 19 mower which is in very good condition but is overdue for a makeover. I'm trying to work out what paint colour the mower deck is. Its hammertone (that much I've learned) and the engine is white (although I note that red was more standard) but the deck colour has me flummoxed. I might be colour blind but it looks sort of green with some blue tones? Does anybody have an idea what colour it is (or closest match)?

Should be the same blue as all the 70's rovers. only the older fairway bases and pre 1963 rovers were green

In my experience the closest off the shelf is Wattyl killrust hammertone ocean blue. it is a couple shades lighter but looks fantastic. And its available in a pressure pack, to my knowledge there's no others similar, there was a hammerite hammertone in blue but it was much darker almost navy.

Thanks for the information and prompt response Nath. I'll get a can of that and run a test piece to see how it matches. I wasnt planning on doing a full repaint, just spot patch n paint, but if its a lighter shade I might need to think about a complete respray.
